More than a year ago, our Prowind team moved into the KlimaQuartier in the Osnabrück Science Park – an innovative, climate-neutral office building that shows how sustainable working can already be a reality today. Our vision was to create a place that brings together innovation, responsibility and everyday life. Today we can proudly say: this vision has become reality.
The KlimaQuartier is an energy-efficient office building that applies sustainable principles at every level. In 2025 (January to September), we produced 57.5 MWh of electricity with our own photovoltaic system, covering a large part of our consumption of 96,775 kWh ourselves. Thanks to the timber construction, around 1,500 tonnes of CO₂ were saved.
The 2,700 square metres of office space include rooms for focused work, creativity and collaboration. Flexible straw building panels allow for compostable and sustainable interior design, while intelligent ventilation systems recover up to 80 percent of the heat. There are also charging points for e-cars and e-bikes, and the green outdoor areas with native plants make the building a lively place for a sustainable working world.
For us, sustainable working also means creating a working environment where people enjoy coming together. The concept of the KlimaQuartier combines modern facilities with open, bright communication spaces. A spacious shared kitchen invites people to take breaks together and have creative conversations, while the roof terrace offers a place to catch your breath and network.
Whether over coffee in the sun or in a spontaneous chat in the kitchen: this is where ideas that make a difference are born. The interplay of modern architecture, sustainable technology and flexible work areas creates a working environment that combines energy, team spirit and innovation.
The impact of the KlimaQuartier is not only reflected in figures. It shows in everyday life: in conversations with visitors who are surprised at how naturally sustainable working is possible here, and in moments when technology, architecture and environmental awareness work together harmoniously and make it tangible that sustainability in the office is not just a vision but a lived reality.
For us at Prowind, the KlimaQuartier is more than an office building. It is a statement for a sustainable working world and a promise for the future: innovative, responsible and community-minded.
